This is the first 2009 SX event broadcast on CBS, albeit with the excellent SpeedTV commentary team of Ralph Sheheen and Jeff Emig. I think they are pretty good at spotting the action.

If you were bothered by the scant coverage of the heat races on the SpeedTV broadcasts, you'll be horrified by the CBS approach! They pad out the show with more "filler" items like flashbacks and other stuff, which all reduces the amount of time they can spend on the heats. For some strange reason it seems that someone at CBS thinks that SX means horrible country music. The CBS logo is a lot more intrusive. The footage is much trickier to edit - when scrubbing thru the video, some of the commercials look like part of the event and are easily missed.

It always annoys me that for a non-live broadcast they don't freeze-frame when they cut to a commercial break so you don't miss any of the action. I wish they'd make the programs 90 minutes instead of 60. After the commercials are cut out, it ends up as about 43 minutes. 

Other than that, it's all good!
